Download an Ongoing Kick Stream: Save the Available VOD
Save the currently available part of a public Kick replay, then download the rest later using the original stream timestamps.
You can save an ongoing stream only when Kick has made a public replay playlist available. Our downloader takes a snapshot of that playlist when you analyze the link. The MP4 ends at that snapshot's last available segment.
Save what is available now
- Open the stream's replay URL on Kick. A channel homepage is not enough.
- Paste the replay URL into the Kick VOD downloader and select Continue.
- Choose an available quality. Set Start to
00:10:00if you want to skip the first ten minutes. - Check the End timestamp shown after analysis. Save the selected range as one MP4.
If no playlist is found, wait and try again. The live video being watchable on Kick does not guarantee that an accessible replay already exists.
Download the remaining footage later
Record the original End timestamp of your first download. After the stream has grown or ended, analyze the same replay link again. Set Start to the previous End and choose the new End. Save this additional range as a separate MP4.
| Download | Start | End |
|---|---|---|
| Available footage | 00:10:00 | 04:30:00 |
| Remainder after the stream ends | 04:30:00 | 06:15:00 |
The second file's times still refer to the source replay. Segment boundaries can cause a small overlap around the cut. The tool does not automatically join independently downloaded ranges.
Keep these limits in mind
This is a snapshot download, not an unattended recording service. It does not monitor a channel, add future segments automatically or record while your computer is off. Keep desktop Chrome open and the computer awake until the current download finishes.
If a connection drops, preserve the file and use Resume. See interrupted download recovery. If storage is tight, use the size and storage calculator before downloading.
